THANK YOU ALL! We were blown away yet again by the generosity of the sell-out crowd of more than 1,000 participants at our Ghent Winter Bar Tour on Saturday, February 25th as this grandest of charity pub crawls stood firm against some strong winds and raised $22,250 for Edmarc Hospice for Children! This fantastic fundraising total solidified the event's position as the most successful charity pub crawl in America and showed once again just how big the hearts of Hampton Roads really are. Fourteen bars, eleven sponsors, and one hundred volunteers all helped to make this big event, now in its seventh year, run smoothly all day and long into the night, up and down Colley Avenue, 21st Street, and the surrounding locale in the historic midtown Norfolk neighborhood of Ghent. And when it was all done, we threw our largest and best closing ceremony yet in a big tent out back of the Belmont House of Smoke featuring some awesome local acts - Longfellow Street and The Tipping Point! Congratulations to all of our prize winners, especially our big 50/50 cash raffle winner Jessica who won $94 and then donated it all to Edmarc - what a classy gal! Thanks again to all of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and participants for all of your support - we couldn't do it without you and hope to see you at another event soon!

SANTAS ON PARADE! Our much-anticipated fifth annual Norfolk Santa Crawl will stroll up and down Granby Street in downtown Norfolk on December 3rd this holiday season and will raise some pints for pups in support of the Animal Rescue of Tidewater! This particular event is very different from our other annual events in size, format, and most especially attire, but has quickly become a "fan favorite" for everyone involved. For all of the details on this one-of-a-kind annual event, please visit the event's website at NorfolkSantaCrawl.com.

Sadly, our first attempt at a golf tournament (and weekday round of drinking) did not garner enough interest to get it off the ground and flying like we had hoped. Thank you to all of the individuals and businesses that showed your support nonetheless. We do still hope to do a golf event in the near future and will keep you informed of any and all progress being made.

FALL CRAWL FUN! Big thanks are in order for Mid-Atlantic Recycling, the 11 bars and restaurants, the 60 gracious volunteers, and of course the nearly 500 participants that made the fifth annual Olde Towne Fall Crawl through the streets of historic Olde Towne Portsmouth on Saturday, October 1st another resounding success! This event has grown quite a lot in the last couple years to become one of the largest and most anticipated events in the Olde Towne area. With all of your help, we were able to donate all of the $11,265 in proceeds from this event directly to Children's Performance Workshops! This fantastic locally founded and locally operated organization works in the Hampton Roads area to teach children to recognize, prevent, and disclose child abuse and bullying. For all the rest of the details on this great event that was deemed yet again by our local pub crawl enthusiasts to be the most fun one of the year, click on over to OldeTowneFallCrawl.com.

For those a bit less familiar with the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, Ghent is a historic neighborhood located on the west side of midtown Norfolk, just north of downtown and just south of Old Dominion University. Its name comes from the signing of the Treaty of Ghent in Belgium, which ended the War of 1812. The first suburb of Norfolk, Ghent was created around the turn of the 20th century and most of its buildings date back to the era between 1890 and 1920. More on the history of Ghent, as well as a cartoon map and other useful information, is available through the links on this site.
